FAQs
How to start?
You may start by booking your first appointment via the website. If you’d prefer to connect with me before scheduling a session, please call or email me.
Who don’t you work with?
I am not the best fit for children under the age of 14 or people suffering from severe mental disorders (diagnosed scitzophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, etc.). I am happy to provide a referral to other professionals that specialize in such situations.
What will therapy be like?
It’s not like the movies! I don’t do hyptnosis. You won’t lay on a couch with your eyes closed. And I won’t ask you to analyze strange shapes. In therapy, we will simply talk. You will share and I will help you decide how you want to move through whatever it is that is causing you trouble.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not contract with any insurance companies. I accept cash, check, or credit card payment at the time of the session. If you would like to persue a reimbursement from your insurance, I can provide you with a “superbill” so that you can do so.
Is it confidential?
Very. However, I am a mandated reporter which means that I’m required by law to disclose any threats of “serious and foreseeable harm” to my clients or others.
How often will sessions occur?
Typically sessions occur weekly or every other week.
How long does it take?
Treatment is unique to each client, but typically lasts 3-6 months.
What does it cost?
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $155.
