FAQs

How to start?

  • You may start by booking your first appointment via the website. If you’d prefer to connect with me before scheduling a session, please call or email me.

Who don’t you work with?

  • I am not the best fit for children under the age of 14 or people suffering from severe mental disorders (diagnosed scitzophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, etc.). I am happy to provide a referral to other professionals that specialize in such situations.

What will therapy be like?

  • It’s not like the movies! I don’t do hyptnosis. You won’t lay on a couch with your eyes closed. And I won’t ask you to analyze strange shapes. In therapy, we will simply talk. You will share and I will help you decide how you want to move through whatever it is that is causing you trouble.

Do you accept insurance?

  • I do not contract with any insurance companies. I accept cash, check, or credit card payment at the time of the session. If you would like to persue a reimbursement from your insurance, I can provide you with a “superbill” so that you can do so.

Is it confidential?

  • Very. However, I am a mandated reporter which means that I’m required by law to disclose any threats of “serious and foreseeable harm” to my clients or others.

How often will sessions occur?

  • Typically sessions occur weekly or every other week.

How long does it take?

  • Treatment is unique to each client, but typically lasts 3-6 months.

What does it cost?

  • Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $155.
